DescriptionDuring my junior year of college, I spent the summer of ‘96 in Japan, where I took a Business Management course and a Japanese Theatre course at Sophia University in Tokyo. There I was introduced to Noh theatre, which I immediately fell in love with. Noh theatre sometimes involves a scornful woman but always with demons (Hannya).Years later, hoping to find a nice piece of art with a Hannya mask, I instead found this painting of Thanos by Peach Momoko in Hannya style. I just loved the lines in Thanos’ face as well as as the elements of deep space. Item acquired directly from Peach Momoko. Social/Sharing |

Man! Talk about a piece meant for you! Congrats on getting to venture in Japan as well as own such a monumental piece. Momoko is truly unstoppable!

One of Peach's best, and that's saying something! Love the sublime coloring throughout. Definitely an ethereal quality to it, and it looks great framed. I asked Peach about this one, too, but alas was too late :) Glad to see it in your collection here on CAF, though - congrats!

It's so tough to stay ahead of CAF collectors 😅 So rare to find pieces such as this!

The colors look so good and wet effect is in force. The shadow side still has the great black color to define that half of the face/mask.

Beautiful. One of the better stories I have read here on CAF. Very fitting that you got this cover. I dig it.
