DescriptionFantastic Four (vol. 1) #375 April 1993One of my favorite issues from childhood. This one's got all the beauty of the 90's - foil cover, scores of guest stars, nostalgia, vests/jackets that augment your powers. What more could you want? Always a fan of the clean work of Ryan/Bulanadi. The obvious draw for this one is the Thing with is torn up face. (Clawed last issue by Wolverine) He gets the helmet here and it sticks around for quite a while. The close up really does justice to the injury and Ben's anger. Background picture of the early FF is great as well. Source: Anthony's Comic Art Social/Sharing |

Wonderful page I used to own and miss. Love the panel with Thing's marred face. Paul Ryan was one of the greats and always perfect paired with Bulanadi. Bravo!

Oh, cool. When did you have it? I picked it up from Anthony's Comic Art at Baltimore Comic-con.

Wow this is sweet. I love the Fantastic Four and this page really gives you everything you can ask for. And The Thing all banged up. I forgot about the helmet. Kool

The clawed up face looks like it was done by BWS with how much personality is behind it.

Paul Ryan was one of the best superhero storytellers of his generation. His long run on the FF is only outmatched by Kirby and Byrne in my book.

Defalco/Ryan was my introduction to the Marvel Univerise. Many, many fond memories.
