DescriptionI commissioned this from Mike Grell (via Shaun Clancy) in 2002 and foolishly traded it away a few years later. Thought I had "too much" Grell art and wanted to focus on only published pieces. So glad to add it back to the collection thanks to the Dueling Dealers of Comic Art! 2002 14" x 17" Thanks Shaun, Bill & both Mikes! Very cool Grell piece! His style is so similar to Neal Adams but with more flair in my opinion. Congrats!

The colors are so pristine! They haven't aged with how brilliant they look. The Grell dynamism used here is truly appealing for fans of the 70's style!

Hmm, too much Grell art? Not sure why, but it sounds like a familiar refrain I've heard about another collector and artist. Lucky for me, I don't listen to that sort of thing. And lucky for you, I didn't end up with this one. Or you probably wouldn't have it back. LOL! But hey, if you ever feel like you have too much Grell again, I would be mre than happy to "relieve you" of this burden.

A very nice commission, especially with Deadman included. So cool that you were able to get it back all these many years later. What goes around, comes around!

The (Phantom) Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique! (Kill Bill) Five steps and you're a goner, Bruce. I'll notify Alfred. This my favorite Grell commission that I've seen so far. The colors are amazing, the rendering is spotless, and I love that action pose. And...bonus Kirby Krackle! Suh-weet (re) pick up. Congrats!

Glad you got reunited with your commission - and happy to have shared in seeing it happen with other fans on the show. Now we both know there is no such thing as 'too much' Grell...

Oh, that's awesome. Uniquely cool shot and the colors work so well. Poor Bats doesn't know what hit him. Literally :) Congrats!
