DescriptionAnother milestone checked off the list. The 70s chic of Rudy's "The Deadly Hands of Kung Fu" wash work had me hooked when I got hip to it in earnest several years ago. Having been solely a consumer of color comics in the mid to late 70s, these black and white mags felt like they were for "big kids" when I saw them on the shelves as a kid. When I got back into comic collecting 7 years ago, my bin diving kept producing 70s magazines like Howard the Duck, Dracula Lives, and Deadly Hands of Kung Fu. Looking at the art inside with middle aged eyes I was pleasantly surprised to find an unexplored source of great art.Social/Sharing |

To rediscover this kind of Nebres work in this day and age proves that, "You are refreshingly levelheaded and others can relate to you"- Panda Express.

Killer title splash, Doug! Love the tones throughout, and how the lettering is incorporated. And Fist cuts an imposting figure - "The Living Weapon", indeed! Congrats!

I love (and miss) these old Marvel b&w mags. Great splash by the legendary Rudy Nebres.
