DescriptionArt Adams certainly started his careeer with a bang, hitting an early high with the Asgardian Wars two parter (New Mutants Special Edition and X-Men Annual 9). I am so happy I was able to secure an example. This page may not have action, but it shows two great close-ups of Magik and Mirage, capturing both characters perfectly, and a great team shot at the bottom.Claremont's dialogue, verbose as it might be, serves well to capture the young mutants' yearning for Asgardian adventures. Love the delicate inks on this one, but I am not sure about the attribution. Marvel Database mentions Mignola, Gordon and Adams himself as an inker, but I would not know who inked this particular page. Anybody has any informed opinion please let me know. Addendum: Adams himself confirmed to me that he inked the page. Many many thanks to Philip for the huge help in securing this piece. Social/Sharing |

Anything from these issues is monumental! These issues put Arthur Adams' name on every watch list at the comic store. He could sell a comic with his name alone.

Warlock dropping some truth...Art Adams killed this run, with both story and artistry. And I love that use of zipatone in the last panel to create a great foreground shading and depth. And that little zipatone Illyana demonic image is awesome. Great find. Congrats!

And to think I once felt bad about a lamp getting wet in the IKEA commercial.

Another gem of your collection, Carlo. The last panel is pure beauty and details. Memorable pick!
