Description

Ernie Schroeder (1916-2006) is most well-known for his comic book work for Hillman Publications and Harvey Comics. For Hillman, Schroeder worked on The Heap and Airboy, while with Harvey, he drew Shock Gibson, The Spirit of �76, and the Boy Heroes. I�m pleased to offer up a page featuring the latter characters, from All-New Comics. I do not know which issue this page was published in, or if it is unpublished, but it circa 1945 and features some solid WWII action as the boys help out a medico, while Punchy is off machine gunning the enemy. The brush work is quite wonderful, with terrific figure work and lush spaces and foliage. There is an Eisner vibe to Schroeder�s work on this page. Measuring 23�x 14��, this twice-up page is in solid Fine+ condition. Great Golden Age action! $275.00 + 20.00 first class shipping.
