Louis de Pointe du Lac and Daniel Molloy (yes the Interviewer has a name!) talk about his life as a vampire in San Francisco.

My mom always loved Anne Rice. So my household as a child was filled with the novels and all of these Innovation comic book adaptations. My mom grew up reading comics like Wonder Woman, Archie and EC Horror. So when I got into comics, she discovered a love for Wrightson and would go out of her way to pick up his Frankenstein, The Mutants and even the Weird. She knew I loved Swamp Thing and got me a run of Wrightson's early issues. So, when it came to Anne Rice, either she would pick up these as trade collections or individual issues, or other times I would always know that a new Anne Rice novel or comic adaptation could serve as a nice Mother's Day present.

So when I saw this page come up on the Interview and Art Sale with Comic Artist Joe Phillips, and it was the weekend before Mother's Day, it made me feel like I had another chance to relive those days buying Mother's Day presents.

Also, I do really dig Interview With A Vampire. I recently had a conversation last year on the 30th Anniversary of the film here.

Happy Mother's Day!

Interesting to learn about your mom. Mine is an avid reader (20+ novels per month. ) I tried getting her into comics with several Sanam trades..but her reaction was..just not enough meat on the bone for her. Cool page by the way!

Imagine a CAF+ interview with Louis and his art collection! Bill would have to pull off a Brad Pitt performance to convince us he read the novel.

It's great when you cad share a hobby with your parents. It makes for fond memeories as the years go by. And something to remember them by after they are gone. I picked up a piece at at an auction for exactly that reason and this is a reminder that I need to post it to CAF.

Cool page and the reminiscences of your childhood with your mom are great. Speaking of which, in honor of such a wonderful mother and out of respect for her love of Anne Rice, the title is actually Interview With THE Vampire.
