DescriptionA page from the first Avengers comic I ever got from the Spinner Rack at Quick Stop!Recently freed from 'Mindbender' control by "Fred" Kang, She-Hulk is ready to kill Nebula Kang, as she just had her chuck Black Knight out the airlock of an Avengers Quinjet traveling through Outer Space! Nebula plummets the Quinjet toward the turbulence which knocks both "Chairman" Kang and "Fred" Kang, of the Cross-Time Council of Kangs, loose where they disappear into the Heart of Darkness. Luckily for The Black Knight, not only did the Kang's free him of his 'Mindbender' control, but connected him to the Quinjet via tractor beam. Although the tractor beam is weakening, it gives Black Knight enough time to use the power of his exo-skeleton to climb back into the Quinjet! A Buscema / Palmer 6 faceted gem with rock solid art of glittering cosmic effects through exciting line and brush. She-Hulk, Black Knight, and Kangs are enough to bring a rousing thrill to this page!

Nice! Tremendous action in space! I love the six vertical panel composition, which gives the sense of everything falling. Congratulations Derek!

I truly felt bad for the Black Knight during this story. I started reading Avengers shortly after he had rejoined the team, so for me he was one of the key members. Simonson really did him dirty here.
