Description

I got introduced to Arthur Adams and Longshot about a year after its release. It was my real start into comics. I had only dabbled beforehand.

So a few year later in 1989 and my second UKCAC (UK Comic Art Convention) I stumbled across this page. At the time it was a lot of money for me but I had to have it. It was my first original page of artwork

Interestingly I only noticed recently that Whilce Portacio's name is spelt incorrectly, it is written as Portocio.

They took the time to white out and change it to Portocio as well. Arthur's breakout into a star by bringing detail unlike which was seen before. Im guessing Whilce had to look at pencils, be impressed, and knew he had a long day ahead of him. Wonderfully drawn Peter Parker and She-Hulk, plus a portrait of Longshot to establish his place within Marvel continuity.

Very nice title splash from Arthur's seminal series. Not sure how many people can say that their first piece of OA was an Art Adams splash. Fun issue. I remember being so excited when I saw Spidey and She-Hulk on the cover.
