DescriptionThe Acolyte - a premiere special CAF posting celebrating the High Republic era in Live Action! The two episode premiere drops today on Disney+ and deserves a double page spread. I'll post a page each week for the other six episodes when they air.Disobeying orders from the High Council, Jedi Master Avar Kriss has tracked Lourna Dee to the heart of No-Space as this issue opens. Now, as Jedi clash with Nihil in the corridors of the raiders' Great Hall, the Marshal of Starlight Beacon faces the notorious Tempest Runner in battle for the first time. When Avar gains the upper hand over Lourna, she stands ready to deal a death blow to her unarmed and defeated opponent. From Hero of Hetzal to murderer? Can Jedi Knight Keeve Trennis stop Marshal Kriss from making a fatal mistake? Just before the final blow falls, Keeve intervenes. Just as she has done with her Master Sskeer, Trennis is able to bring Avar back to her senses, and away from the dark side. Cunning as ever, Lourna Dee attempts to take Keeve hostage during Avar’s moment of hesitation. This DPS shows Avar wielding the Force to hurl Dee and free Trennis! In 2021, I was able to obtain the pencil boards for this DPS from Ario at NYCC (actually Kavi did the in person pick up on my behalf, thanks Kavi!). Incredibly pleased to add Mark's matching inked boards (over Ario blue lines) to my portfolio. Additional images show the published spread and individual page scans. For Light and Life!
