Description"Chapter 7: The Reckoning" - In this episode/issue, the guild leader Greef Karga offers the Mandalorian to kill the Client in exchange for Din and the Grogu's freedom. Believing to be a trap but having no choice, the Mandalorian recruits Cara Dune and Kuiil to assist him, with the latter bringing a reprogrammed IG-11 unit. Upon arrival on Nevarro they meet Karga and his associates, but en route to the town the group is attacked by large flying reptile creatures. Karga is injured and here Grogu approaches to use the Force to heal Karga's wound.I'm posting this one in memory of Carl Weathers (January 14, 1948 – February 1, 2024). Highlight roles of his long career included boxer Apollo Creed in the first four Rocky films (1976–1985), Colonel Al Dillon in Predator (1987), Chubbs in Happy Gilmore (1996), and voicing Combat Carl in the Toy Story franchise. In 2019, Weathers appeared as Greef Karga in several episodes of the first season of the Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. He returned for the second season and also directed the episode "Chapter 12: The Siege". He returned for season 3 and directed the episode "Chapter 20: The Foundling". His performance earned him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor. May the Force be with you Mr. Weathers. Social/Sharing |
