DescriptionThe Acolyte special posting each week with each new episode premiere, celebrating the High Republic era in Live Action! As this issue opens, Vildar Mac is seen presumably dead as Matthea Cathley calls for help. But as Miracle Max would point out to Inigo Montoya, "he's only mostly dead". Moments later, Vildar wakes up and immediately begins searching for the thief, concerned about his presumed power of Morichro. Morichro, also known as the 'Touch of Death', was an ancient Jedi art that allowed its users to rapidly slow down the bodily functions of an opponent to the point of death. Creepy! On this page Vildar uses psychometry to figure out where this powerful thief is going, and Cathley identifies the spot Mac sees as Enlightenment, a nearby bar. Purchased direct from Mark, his inks over Ario's blue lines. For Light and Life. Social/Sharing |

pretty cool imagaery on this page! Even though some of the bluelines weren't inked, that works pretty well when you look at the published image from the book. I need to finish my Phase II catchup (books and comics) so I can get going on Phase III, want to be caught up by the end of the year. Looking forward to the new episode tonight - For Light And Life!

I know there are a lot of opinions about blue line pages. But, in terms of the effects that can be done, I am liking the blend that is turning up on some of these. In this case, where that vision area was finished by the digital inker, that probably would have been done on a separate piece of board or an overlay and then half-toned or something during the production process. I'm just happy there is some traditional art being done for us to enjoy!

Wow! I love the mix of the ink and blue line work on this page; the final published page is also fantastic!

Definitely was an eye catcher in the book, and skimming through Mark's inventory.

Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
Shrug us off Matthea, we ink Force art Morales
So I don't wanna be a Vildar thief in the crowd
Sol, morichro it down, no
Sol, morichro it down, no
They write us off and say it's just a Vildar opinion
And I'm tired of trying to fit in when I'm in Enlightenment
Sol, morichro it down, no
No, I can't Sol it down, no
I'm never Qimir follow
Just because that Mae show
I'm never Osha let go, let go
Of this High
I've already hit the low, oh-oh-oh-oh
I've already felt the Sol, oh-oh-oh-oh
So, Venestra giving up, Vildar's gonna crack
Never giving in, Vildar's going Mac
I've already fell below, oh-oh-oh-oh
I fell deeper in the show, oh-oh-oh-oh
So, I'm never giving up, never gonna crack
I'm never giving in, Vildar's going Mac

It would be more difficult to produce the desired special effect if the blue line had been inked. Looks great as is!
