Description

Roland, Alain and Cuthbert have come to Hambry purportedly to buy horses for the Affiliation, but really to spy out whether Hambry is in League with John Farson. Everyone at the dinner can see Roland is taken with Susan, including the Big Coffin Hunters’ leader and Farson supporter, Eldred Jonas.

An unpublished version of The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born # 3, page 10 (2007). Redrawn possibly to make some of the townsfolk look less like Robert Johnson, Elisha Cook Jr. and Lee Van Cleef. Elements of this page did make it into the published versions of pages 10 and 11.

Probably one of Jae's best pages, even if not used completely, with so many characters at once. The last panel is very delicately done to inform the reader of a subtle changes in her character. Like many of the art style changes he's had over his career, Jae does not revisit this kind of art again.
