Nice! Wish my wife and daughters knew how to pick comic art for me.
Love her haughty stance. Very "come at me, bro!", which fits her character well.
Meugniot at the height of his abilities. Great layout, rendering, action, and storytelling. Congrats on this excellent page!
The Spectre's color scheme accentuates the piece, with him paralleling the flowers as one of the greenest, liveliest things in the cemetery. Love this take on him.
Not only is the page beyond awesome, your write-up does it justice, and was highly entertaining in it's own right. The characters have so many bad ideas here, but the artists' depiction of them is absolutely perfect.
Just an elegant start to the story. Huge congrats!
This piece bounces, rocks, rolls AND skates! April's off to a funky start.
The smoke and shadow increase the otherworldliness of the multi-armed figure. A beautiful Conan piece! Congrats!
Could've been worse: Thor could've brought down the lightning. No undertaker could make that an open casket...
Incredible, from the rendering, to the coloring, and the cubist fire! Congrats!
I have a prelim from this issue and wanted to see a final page. This does not disappoint! Congrats on the consecutive pages.
I can feel the slime! The sense of weight from her head tilt makes this very visceral.
A brilliant celebration of our hobby! Huge congrats!
Great colors and design. Never realized how big the Wonder Woman Family had gotten.
I actually didn't notice that she was a sitting on a Brood the first time I looked. Love that devilish roller girl look on her face.
Looks like a fusion of the classic O'Neil/Adams gothic setup with the TV show's types of choices and actions. Big congrats!
The mood created by the shadows and contrasts is perfect for the scene. Big congrats!
They are! And they really help the white paint (the "lights") pop.
I assume it would be "the original" from her perspective. He's the only one to leave her a note, and her eyes are kind of on him!
This is spectacular! I can virtually feel Dagger leaping out of Cloak. And the background really looks like New York. Huge congrats!
Sometimes the fight behind the scenes to get the piece is what makes you appreciate the art even more. Glad you finally got it!
Gorgeous! This watercolor looks a lot like Tea Leoni to me, although that timeline for her to be the actual inspiration probably doesn't work. In any event, congrats!
It's a striking piece. And what delirium is thinking is hilarious. Big congrats!
So different from your last Brainy posting, but both nail the character. I especially like his smug look in this version/era. Congrats!
I once read a quote from Marie where, in reference to the other Marvel Bullpen artists, she said that she "knew her place." She was implying that the others were so good that she was lucky to be there. I've looked at her pages including this one and I don't know why she sold herself short. This is absolutely gorgeous! Every panel is a joy to behold. Congrats!
Nice build-up of tension culminating in the Fox about to pounce and the look of terror on their intended victim in the last panel. Congrats!
I agree with Kavi, "old" Computo looking like a pet and tugging at Brainy's leg makes this piece next level for me. And of course, Brainy is ignoring him. Congrats on a great full-body piece!
That's a great panel progression, with Harley's terrible situation getting worse with each image. Big congrats!
I don't think there were that many Misery appearances so it's great that you got a page with him on it. Congrats!
Inspiring story! Great to see that finds this amazing still happen. The collage showing corroborating examples of his style is pretty convincing. Congrats!
The grounded doghouse lifting off conveys a great sense of wonder. Congrats!
I enjoyed this take on Supergirl. She was done as a biker chick who might prove more dangerous than Lobo, if he didn't watch himself. And Perez was at his best (clearly).
Redford as Death? He decided to be easy on the eyes for that poor old lady.
Love how the light source from the cloudy edges reflect off his face. It gives the whole piece a dreamy quality.
Before I read your description, I was sure this must be the Pander Bros., because of the distinctiveness of the hair, how they drew the boots, and the overall design. Whoever it is, they nailed her particular crazy! Congrats.
Nice touch, decapitating his weapon as well.
I like this series too. Lieber incorporates the fantasy elements into everyday world scenery in a very grounded way.
This was one of my favorite pages from that story. Superboy looks totally badass in his closeup, but then the four thin panels dwarf him by depicting things on a cosmic scale, fitting for the far-greater power level of whoever that Dark Lord was (he hadn't been revealed yet). And my favorite part was the cameo by several Marvel characters amongst the Daxamites in panel 4. Congrats on having a true piece of comic book history.
