Wow...What an amazing year (2007)!!! Great to Finally Show Some Artwork on this Site... My First Year in Collecting Original Art has been so Memorable and Awesome!!! It all started with the Sam Loeb Auction in WW Chicago...it was an amazing experience and opportunity to marry the two loves in my life....helping kids ( I work as a doctor for very sick kids) and comic book art.....it was a great honor to participate in that auction and spurred my love for collecting original comic book art. I have met some great people this year and had so much fun doing it!!! Highlights this past year included: * meeting and having lunch with the Legend George Perez *winning two Sam Loeb Auctions--Michael Turner Superboy and a John Cassaday Page!! *winning Tim Sale and J Bone Ultimate Spidey #100 *Meeting the Legendary Pinoy Artists: Chan, De Zuniga, and Nino!!! *Talking with Alex Nino in his home and meeting his family *Meeting the Legendary Nick Cardy!! My Galleries showcase mostly who I am and what I love: proud to be pinoy (Its what filipinos call themselves for those who don't know) and proud to be a big Legion fan (what the 'Boy' also refers to)... Looking Forward for more fun and meeting more great artists and friends in the coming year!!! Watch this space for more art...i have over a hundred pieces collected this year left to show.....will try to put one new piece over the next couple 100 or so days.... Let the Fun Begin..... I love organization, hence the titles before the creators names which are intended to pay homage to their great talents. "Legendary" and "Honored" ---hon·or (nr) n. 1. High respect, as that shown for special merit; esteem: the honor shown to a Nobel laureate. 2. a. Good name; reputation. b. A source or cause of credit: was an honor to the profession. 3. a. Glory or recognition; distinction. b. A mark, token, or gesture of respect or distinction: the place of honor at the table. "Pinoy Legends" and "Pinoy Pride" --Honors my heritage and the contributions of Pinoy creator past and present. ******************************************************************************************** 2020 in Quarantine and Back Again. It's great to revisit the last 13 years of collecting. My Gallery is going to be a leaner, more focused Gallery. I've rediscovered art that I've posted and discovered art that I've neglected to post for the past 5 years. So using this pause to do some house cleaning and really examine what I love the most about collecting comic book art and re-energizing myself (as energized as I was in 2007) for the next 13 years.
