LOL. Doesn't make logical sense - but I never complain whenever an artist or writer wants to show some beefcake Apollo and Midnighter playing with their swords. This page gets center stage with my family during Thanksgiving lol.
If you know Midnighter, he is not a normal opponent - he is Batman on steroids with less of a moral compass and Apollo is essentially Superman.
Yeah can't believe the character is 21 years old now and hope we get to see his romance with Hercules evolve as well as his role in the Marvel Universe (I see him as Marvel's answer to Superboy) and hope he make his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe one day !

I love this cover...the original Titans Cover was the very first comic that I read where I noticed the writing and the art as something special. I think the character choices are just genius...and of course, love that Superboy is there!!!

I feel the same...there is something missing--that coordinated magic of words and art--that is missing from today's art. I recall reading this when I was kid and just loving the characters, even if they were never, ever successful heroes...this was Giffen at his best....
