Description

A truly unique Batman page by Gene Ha. To me, it has the ethereal feel of a Swamp Thing page filled with magic and fantasy. It's not often that you see a panel of Batman's face behind a tree branch covered with flowers or a panel of flowers floating in the air near his head. Also, not often that you see a homicidal Batman killing one of his foes as an executioner. Brutal violence and delicate beauty intertwined.

Also a very bold and striking version of Batman. Reminds me of a Bolland inspired look. The strong images of Batman immediately caught my attention and the graceful details drew me in even further to this page. Brilliant details and composition.

I didn't even realize until after I received the page that the structure of the hangman's tower defies logic with the way the support columns connect from one level to the next. Almost like an M.C. Escher puzzle.

A beautiful and twisted dream sequence written by Archie Goodwin told from the mind of a psychotic psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum.

Incredible storytelling penciled and inked by Gene Ha. Definitely a unique and visually stunning take.
