Description

This is my first Jim Lee piece. I've been waiting years for the right Jim Lee Batman piece, but haven't found it yet. Super stoked to add this Joker splash page to my collection though.

This is the first appearance of the Joker in the All-star universe.

As the Joker looks out a window pane covered with rain...
"Gotham City CRIES
Gotham is an UGLY city full of SHAME, far beyond REDEMPTION. She's a sad old WHORE.
But she's BEAUTIFUL when she CRIES.
I LOVE her when she CRIES.
I love her only when she cries."

Synopsis:
At the start of this issue we find The Joker, admiring a crying Gotham City, who has just drugged and had sex with a city prosecutor. He tells her that he loves her, in his own, special way. Then he punches her in the face and strangles her to death with her own tie. Emerging from the hotel room, he tells Bruno to "Get rid of it."
