A great throwback to the Detective Comics days when Rogers made the character his own. The use of screentones and stylish gothic mystery created some of the most consequential Batman stories of the late 70's. Here, Rogers' approach is even more sharp and stylish in the detective and mystery work.

Rogers' Batman is hands-down one of my favorite versions. The influence of his '70s & '80s style on future artists is undeniable. I really love the way he depicted our main character on this page all those years after his iconic Detective Comics run. It's also nice to see the whole creative team reunited and Austin's sleek inks are clean as can be.
