Descriptionfrom Heritage:"No, not that Karate Kid -- but still one of the more unlikely team-ups in The Brave and the Bold. On this action-packed page, Batman steps in to save the day -- and take out the trash -- as he throws down with Pulsar, a high-powered foe from Karate Kid's future. It's Gotham grit meets 31st-century fury, and the Dark Knight doesn't miss a beat." Also... Pulsar!!! BIRTH page of a character nobody remembers or cares about???!!! Yeah as much as I'd like to see Bruce mix it up with Daniel-san and take down the All Valley Tourney...this makes a whole lot more sense! Thanks to Heritage for the clarification. And Batman's got rent jokes for Pulsar!

So odd to see a B&B page from that era that is not Aparo.

Yeah I guess even Aparo needed a break for a month. Perhaps he was already gearing up for Batman and the Outsiders by this point since B&B was almost over. He did do the cover though.

Lots of money shots starting with Pulsar in all his glory! The athletic acrobat Batman was the standard for the time period established by Adams and Aparo! Patton and Hoberg were great names during this time period getting fill ins and making runs that feel seemless.

Believe it or not, this isn't his 'Birth Book' but I guess it's a pre'Death Page!' cause he 'splodes by page 21!

No it's not, but it is the 1st appearance of Pulsar in costume in this particular issue! It's the birth panel specifically on p. 8 of B&B #198! 😜

He's in four, count 'em four, DC comic books! This and three issues of The Karate Kid. Hardly a flash in the pan with that quadruple stack of magazines filling out the character's history fighting his nemesis and that bat guy this one time (maybe at band camp?). I see how it is. You'll ask me to pick up some Punisher pages for you, but meanwhile you've got this beauty tucked away safe and snug in your portfolio at home already. Hoarding the true treasures!
