Description

My first real Title page and for one of my all-time favorite issues - THEORIES OF RELATIVITY.

March of 1994 continues to be that pinpoint era where I really love the art, story and pages from the world of X. Having this issue (X-Men Unlimited #4 - familial relationships revealed between Nightcrawler, Rogue, Graydon Creed and Mystique) and X-Factor #100 (death of Jamie Madrox - aka MULTIPLE MAN) being prominent issues of nostalgia.

This DPS now being my 4th and 5th page from this monumental issue; and a real beauty of a piece by Richard Bennett/Steve Moncuse on top of the great history. This page features a gorgeous and deadly Mystique (fully displayed in reflection) with her foot pressed upon General Armand Guadier, letting this beast know that he is at his end. The playful dialogue is intense and quite fun, Mystique at her peak of being diabolical but well deserved for this old monster.

It�s also pretty cool to get a �STAN LEE PRESENTS A TALE OF THE X-MEN� and credits printout, a few little things on the checklist, great to have included on this particular title page.

It's sad that the Friends of Humanity would gel with modern times as well. Love the dynamics of Mystique here. Congrats!

Crazy layout, man! Dig that expreme close up with head shot on left and gun on right, with that reflection of Mystique in the middle. Sublime goodness, no doubt, and not common! Congrats on a suh-weet '90s get, James!

Very cool man. Always a huge buzz getting pages from one of your favourite issues. So much to love with all the 90's detail and it being the title DPS. Your get the ‘in your face’ foreground and the added treat of Mystiques’ reflection in the window background. Fun storytelling. Congrats!

Pretty hot from the right time period to present this in full 90's DPS glory! It reminds me of the scene in DOFP movie with JLaw Mystique seducing the Vietnamese general with her leg on his throat!

Those long stories in X-Men Unlimited were fabulous, allowing for greater depth in a single issue than the usual 22-page book allowed for. Congrats on this fantastic DPS from an issue with personal significance to you.

Holy cow! This is one wicked X-Men DPS! Jaw-dropping art by Richard Bennett and Steve Moncuse. What a crazy POV we have here, with the terrified face of General Armand Guadier staring helplessly into the wicked automatic weapon of Mystique (Represented here only by her high heel shoe and her reflection in the room's window). It could only have been done in the revolutionary '90s when comic book artists were experimenting with all sorts of different styles, different looks and yes, different POVs. Wonderful pick-up, congrats.
