Cover to part 2 (of 4) of the Agent of Weapon X arc by the master BWS. Couldn't find or afford any Weapon X covers so I felt this was a pretty decent consolation prize!

This may be amongst some of BWS' last works for Marvel and it has the earmarks of some of his prior works, of course Weapon X, but maybe even dating back to before his time in Conan when he was more Kirbyesque.

I thought I was familiar with all of Barry's work, but I can honestly say I have never seen this before. As far as being a consolation prize, Barry at his worst (which this certainly is not) would trump many other artists at their best. Hard to imagine anything else being posted today (or this week, or this month) that would top this. So congrats on your "consolation" prize. If this is what you get for not coming in first, I would happily throw every competition.

Yup, those original covers are tough but this is an exquisite substitute - channels all those Weapon X vibes nicely. Congrats!
