Description

Got into collecting thinking I only wanted published pages and then I saw this.

Picked up during the "Double Visions" charity auctions, supporting both the Hero Initiative and the Book Industry Charitable Foundation. It was a wonderful exibition of artist collaborations, from a who's who of the comics world, all for a very noble cause.

This (and its pair) from the auction were the last collaboration of the two celebrated artists. I knew Tim had passed last summer but it never registered with me in that context. When it was brought to my attention, I felt both bummed & privileged at the same time. After reading Matt's posts about the auctions it answered some questions I�ve always had around the paired pieces & their process. I added a screen grab of the part of the thread pertaining to this half of the set.

Wow! I dont recall any Tim Sale commissions as amazing and cinematic as this. Congrats! And yeah, makes me want to start a commission collection too!

WOW! RIGHT. ON!! Sincere congrats on this amazing piece, which takes many of the wonderful elements of both of these excellent artists and puts it all out on display. SO good (and good on you for supporting such great causes, too!). Beautiful proof that at least something wonderful came out of 2020... Love it. Congrats!

It is a GREAT piece. It is executed perfectly and you wont find many better commissions, let alone one as unique.

One of my few OA regrets is not going after this piece with more gusto - it's absolutely wonderful, and I'm glad to see it in a happy home! Congrats!

If I recall, I wasn't terribly far from limiting out on this auction... So thank you for deploying the perfect amount of gusto! It's still my favorite piece to date.
