Description

“I’m coming… I’m coming for all of you.”

Glad to have been able to nab this page. The Grim Hunt storyline was a 4 part arc & a fun addition to the Kraven saga. It also has our hero back in the black suit, a favorite look of mine.

With art split across 2 pieces, I'm usually more of a pencils fan. But when I saw the inked bluelines up for auction, I thought it was way too cool of a scene not to put in a bid. Luckily my bid stuck.

The web swinging & buildings drew me in. Thought the pose, perspective and angles all worked really well together, particularly on a horizontal canvas. The buildings have some cool architectural features going on too, which I dig.

Thanks for taking a look!

I can see the pencils being close to the look of the Spider-Man figure.  The backgrounds uses different inking techniques that allow Spidey to stick out from the background.

Great web slinging pose, and I always like me some Spidey back in black!  Stefano's style, similar to a Michael Lark, worked perfectly for the story.  Congrats!

Stunning Spider-Man DPS by Stephano Gaudiano! Just a gorgeous pose as Spider-Man swings through the city. I love the way the black suit is backlit here, it really pops! Stephano did a nice job of adding enough background to make the scene feel real, but not so much that it overwhelms the figure. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!

Stephano is a great artist AND person - His mastery over ink is evident in this technically and artistically KILLER piece! Congrats!

While the black suit may not have been my favorite (and that probably had more to do with the character of Venom than when Peter was wearing it) I still understood that, if done well, it could make for a striking visual impact.  This is a great example.  The background details, and especially the lighting, are AMAZING (sorry, couldn't help it).  I don't think I have any black suit Spidey art, but if I saw this for sale somewhere, I might be tempted to pull out my wallet.
