Description

Several years ago I met Mr. Hoberg at Terrificon and asked for the Luke vs Vader duel in Bespin. However he couldn’t start it. We’d agreed to let it be a studio commission. We communicated from time to time and he felt bad for taking so long. To make it up he agreed to add more scenes upon my suggestion. ESB is my favorite out of the trilogy so to me every moment was memorable. When it was all set and done I was emailed a preview and finally this collage of dramatic vignettes on an 11x17.
Normally, it would be frowned upon for commissions taking too long. And I had instances where eventually I got a refund. But for this one, I’m glad I waited.

Fun piece to look at to hit you with a wave of nostalgia! Not too many human character faces to worry about likenesses, but what is shown is plenty important. Hoberg is showing a style that's far superior to his old comics work.
