Description

John Lucas is an amazing artist, very undervalued in my opinion and a wonderful person on top of that.
We discussed the goods & bads of Ernie Chan inks on Buscema Conan, and all kinds of things.

This request came about when I encountered his presence on Facebook. I don't recall if he was casting out for commissions or I went up and asked, but that hardly matters now.

Out of that encounter arose this piece, along with one more and 2 beautiful pages (Deadpool & a positively stunning Fiumara page).

I really like the very subtle SSoC influences in this piece, and it reminds me that I should request Ispy a little more. She's a great character, and is overlooked way too often in Conan lore.

Well, there are definitely Chan influenced areas on this piece. The action is really cool and could be based on commissions from Buscema or Chan. Lucas draws them menacingly good!
