Description

A successful run of Betsy Braddock Captain Britain covers introduced me to the work of Erica D'Urso, resulted in me picking one up.

I liked it enough to jump on Erica's commission list earlier this year and add her to my growing project of recreations & homages of X-Men covers.

Presented with several choices, including several from Excalibur, she went with the #1 cover, executing it flawlessly while adding accents of her own style to the main characters.

Erica's work is rapidly improving all the time and she's started a weekly YouTube sketch session where you can see it in action.

Thrilled to add this commission the growing collection making up this project.

I love this piece, and I'm not even familiar with the source material. Great contrast and execution! Erica is a rising star.

Came out great! The famous cover it homages we all know but it's totally got the unique spin from Erica. Congrats!
