A page from the story titled 'Dark Moon Rise, Heck Hound Hurt' which was a parody of Nick Fury, Agent of Shield #3 'Dark Moon Rise, Hell Hound Kill!'.

In 2013, a good friend of mine Barry Pryor, who owned my local comic shop passed away.

Barry was the first person I knew that also collected original comic art back in the days before eBay and CAF.
Barry introduced me to another friend of his, Bob Thoms, and the three of us would meet at Barry's place and talk about art.
His widow Cheryl gifted me this page.

A fun page from a fun comic book. I'd never heard of Barry Pryor, but that's a great anecdote, so thanks for sharing it. By the way, you seem to have a penchant for befriending guys named Barry. ⁠😃⁠

Love to hear the background stories! Greatly miss the Friday lunch times when the local shop (about 500 feet south of Lake Ontario's shoreline) and 2 miles north of Kodak Park) would get new books in. I would make it through a Burger King drive thru on the way over & treat the owner & talk comics for about 45 mins. That's all I needed to get through the work weeks. That one lunch hour at the end of the week. This is even extra special when someone has left you a work of art for all the memorable times you shared in the comic shop telling stories.
