Description***UPDATE 6/20/2014 - Excited to say this was published in the Heroes Con 2014 program to highlight Ryan Stegman as a guest!This piece was penciled and inked by Marvel artist, Ryan Stegman for the 30th anniversary of the Heroes Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2012. It was used to promote the convention and specifically for the postcards that were sent out to all the advanced ticket holders and for in-store and mail promotions. Colors by the awesome Rico Renzi. This piece was originally going to be for sale in the annual Heroes' Saturday night auction but Stegman had to cancel his con appearance (the day before the con) due to his son getting sick. I had emailed Stegman before the show in hopes of getting a commission and when I heard the news that he had to cancel I inquired about his auction piece to see if would still be auctioned off. I found out that he still had it and the rest is history. I feel VERY fortunate to own such an incredible piece from Ryan and I send a big thank you to Ryan and his art rep (at the time) Paolo for making this one happen! I grew up in Charlotte and went to the con as a kid and now as an adult and it means a lot that my first Stegman piece was a part of Heroes 30th anniversary! As a bonus it's fun to think about this piece being done fresh off of Stegman's run on Scarlet Spider, Superior Spider-man, and a couple years before his run on Amazing Spider-man. Social/Sharing |

This is great. Would love to see him as the regular artist on a Spidey book. His work is...Amazing!

What a great piece. You can tell this was done as a promo piece with all the details and excellent finishing. Congrats on a magnificent piece!

Man, can’t believe I hadn’t commented on this one before! Been awhile since the last comment, too, so good time to chime in. You know I love Stegman’s Spidey work and it’s not hard to see why in this piece! Love the pose and the webbing and it’s so cool that you have such an early example! Congrats, man!
