Description

I started following Lucas Pereira for his retro-Japanime style X-Men, and after he started a Patreon I was able to convince him to do a traditional piece for me (he’s mainly digital). I think it turned out swell. It’s a very clever grouping, and his fusion of mythologies is more comprehensive than I can understand, but at least I can appreciate the little nods and modifications everywhere. Nice use of tones too. Thanks again Lucas! Your work rocks!

If this was a cover on a 7-11 spinner rack circa 1985 there's no way I would pass up buying this book. And furthermore, I would pair it with a cherry Slurpee for the sweet burst of fruit forward and the frosty chemical notes on the finish. [I guess I'm feeling my inner Marcus today!]

I'm sure all these amazing tones and textures could have been replicated digitally. But boy, I sure am glad you had this done by hand. Stunning piece!
