DescriptionThirty years. Not even a blink of the eye, but also a lifetime. What a glorious, hypnotic, captivating portrait. Bachalo is Wild and Reckless in all the right ways. I'm forever grateful to the very kind individual who agreed to part with this. In procuring this art, the whisper of an idea was tenderly fanned and cultivated, over time, until we got a spark. That experience was as exciting and enriching as the moment I actually picked up the art, and I'd like to think that I've made a new friend as well. What a fantastic hobby! Live long and prosper. P.S. And I know everybody always says this, but the way the glue has yellowed on this piece is absolutely perfect, if that is even possible. It looks like the piece is growing older while she remains unchanged in the center. Social/Sharing |

I had (actually it's still there) the other Bachalo poster in my bedroom of my parent's house not long after I discovered Sandman. Suitably jealous of a piece by THE Death artist.

Spectacular image, and you're 100% right about the way it's aging

While I've come to appreciate the abstract style Bachalo has been using for many years now, as a huge fan of artists who ink with a brush, I really LOVE his work from this era and on this piece! Congrats on acquiring this beauty.

Vertigo Bachalo is my favorite era for the artist, and finding a Death piece is near the top of my wish list. Congrats on an amazing piece. (And you're so right about the glue.)

Fantastic piece! I still have my copy of this poster from when DC was passing them out at a Chicago Comic Con in the early 90s.

Vintage Bachalo Death, it doesn't get much better. (Unless it's the other Death poster! 😏) A fantastic addition.

Love it. Early Bachalo ain't easy to get, let alone as nice as this. Nice brush work, and I totally agree on the yellowing of the surrounding glue - serves to frame her! And that smile - perfecto! Congrats!

Hah. I thought I had commented on this already and see now that I haven't. What a fantastic image. If someone didn't know comic art, this could just be regular fine art. This piece really transcends our little hobby. Fantastic, ML!
