Description

This is actually my "B" Campbell page. My "A" page was a cover-quality 1986 commission of Alec, drawn at the times of "Love and Beerglasses", published by Escape magazine (which I had a subscription to). Unfortunately said commission was done in alcohol-based markers and has since been COMPLETELY swallowed by the sun.

A From Hell has been in my list, sadly they keep getting more and more expensive. Thanks for sharing. And your commentabout the markers is really shocking.

yes, UV + alcohol based markers are the scourge of our hobby, second only to rubber-cement glue

This is a typically great Campbell From Hell page but your anecdote about the Alec piece is a real tragedy. Hope you were able to document what it looked like originally.

The pause in what needs to be said is commentary in itself in the last six panels. Waiting for the proper moment after tea is served and the woman closes the door to keep these serious matters private.
