Description

17" x 11" image area. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Master Edition #27 FOOLKILLER II original art (Marvel, 1993). Keith Pollard and Joe Rubenstein.

Listed as Foolkiller II, it is confusing in its classification. Yes, this is the second version of Foolkiller in the look and costume, but the edition incorrectly mentions Gregory Salinger, the second Foolkiller. Salinger's costume and appearance was identical to the first Foolkiller, Ross Everbest. The costume and version shown in the illustration is one that only emerged with the third Foolkiller, Kurt Gerhardt. And honestly, Kurt Gerhardt had a normal physique, not the steroid-infested look of the character shown but it IS Foolkiller and frankly, the most realistic in story of all the Foolkiller iterations so, it had to be in the collection!

Okay, the only question that remains is, since his name is Foolkiller, how come he's still alive?
