Description"This Land is Mine"October 1982 Viktor von Doom or Dr. Doom is in my personal villains Hall of Fame since I was a child. He stands up amongst Galactus, Thanos, Doc. Ock. and The Joker. I finally have a page where Dr. Doom is the principal actor drawn by this genius we all love called John Byrne. Issue 247 is a very good example of JB's creaativity and talent as a total artist. I'm so proud and grateful for having a piece from that era. The first panel is enough to feel that all the efforts done were just. I have to say thanks to Glen Brunswick for letting this page go! It has been a fast and fair deal. Thanks so much.` "You are right, Reed, I'll flame off" Johnny Storm Social/Sharing |

It's the Byrne faces on this page that carry the story. Even Docotor Doom and The Thing with their "masks" can stir emotions.

John Byrne in full Silver Age mode, Stan and Jack would be proud! Such a great page with dynamic angles and a fine description of the contradictions and moral ambiguities of the Good Doctor... These moments of pause and exposure certainly make for excellent storytelling! A very nice pick, obviously!
