Description"If this Be Bedlam!"July 1969 There is an after and a before in my collection since I have a pure silver age ASM page. I feel so grateful to have this pure classic Spidey page. I can't be more classic... I can't be more Romita... It can't be more Mooney! Third panel is TOP on TOP! I'm so classic! Fantastic! The Romita style is fully entrenched into the house of Marvel. It is stories like this that made Spider-Man, the flagship title of all of Marvel.

Agreed, that third panel is everything you could want in a Romita Spider-Man page. The stoically, determined pose of Spidey with a wonderful view of the street below, is a just a delight. Every pose , every face is perfect, and Mooney's inks are just so wonderfully crisp to show up every detail of the pencils. Fabulous.

I'm glad you decided to post the page, it deserves to be loved by the crowd. :) Gorgeous work by Romita and Mooney. And don't sell the other panels short, I think they're all pretty amazing. What a score. Big congrats!

Una saga mítica en la etapa más clásica del personaje dibujada por uno de los más grandes. En el momento de su publicación, "la saga de la Tablilla", fue la aventura más larga y ambiciosa que Stan Lee escribiría en Amazing Spider-Man. Y esta página bien podía representar tu "Tablilla"...Felicidades por la adquisición!!

It's sorta funny... most of my professional friends appreciate this Team but they're not all that enamored of the Finished Product. For instance: Erik Larson just thinks I'm crazy.
My fave Spideys are Ditko (by a Country Lightyear), then Gil, and then this team or it's variables... and then JR.
The Variable where, I think it was Layouts by John Buscema; then tightened-up and made more Spider-Man by John (because Buscema could never really figure out Spidey); and then finished by Mooney, is another really awesome team to me.
Mooney's inks here are as good as the best Sinnott to me. But, hey, that's just me.

Al!!! It is amazing to me to be here talking about inkers with you! Someone who has inked Kirby, Larsen, BYRNE.... and a very long list!!!!! OMG!!!! I really appreciate it!!!! I have a very long lisrlt of favourite inkers and I love them! For sure Mooney is there...

Absolutely stunning Amazing Spider-Man page! Gorgeous layout and figurework by the legendary John Romita Sr. While Romita may not have created Spider-Man, he did become one of Spidey's greatest artists. I love that third panel with Spidey swinging through the city--That's John Romita Sr. at his best! Beautiful inks by Jim Mooney nicely enhance Romita's pencils. Great pick-up, congrats!
