Description

What can I say you probably don't already know?

Here we have our iconic Bettie Page featured so wild and fierce in this "WHIPPERSNAPPER" painting by today's #1 Modern Pin-up artist, Olivia De Berardinis. Published in full color on p. 68 of "Bettie Page by Olivia" 2006. Also used for Olivia's OZONE production Bettie Page 2005 Calendar.

1999, 20" x 30", watercolor and gouache on hand-made paper.

Dual signed by both Olivia in red paint and Bettie Page in black.

Original provenance: Tamara Bane Gallery Beverly Hills. I am only second owner and it's a new one for me.

Images are from my photo under the glass so I will reframe soon and scan. The details are beautiful.
"Gotta say, I did love that one" and "It's funny" were Olivia's responses when I told her I just picked this awesome one up.

I have TRULY been wanting a final Olivia Bettie in the Eric Stanton, John Willie, Gene Bilbrew fetish style. So few finals like that by her out there, especially if in her Bettie book. I AM BLESSED! This one is a KEEPER. Pure Fetish Fun! Bettie is truly in charge. (Hmm, my collection of paintings with Women and Whips seems to be growing) Ha!

I can feel the sting of Olivia's strokes with her lashing brush! Sheer and lacy nylon textures would soothe me after though. Worth the risk for the adventuresome...
