Battleworld: Secret Wars Journal # 1 page 1

This story ticked several boxes for me. I loved how Pizzari penciled and especially inked this story. I loved seeing Moon Knight and a new Khonshu who was Baron of the Battleworld domain of this new setting called Egyptia.

It was also so cool to see the pyramids and ancient Egyptian mythology tied with so many classic (and a few deep cuts) X-men characters! The story featured: Colossus, Shadowcat, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Archangel, Beast, Bishop, Blindfold, Blink, Chamber, Domino, Emma Frost, Gambit, Havok, Juggernaut, Magik, Masque, Mystique, Sabretooth, Warpath, Xorn, Osiris. And I love that ominous entrance Wolverine makes at the bottom of this page.

Fantastic techniques used to have that haze over the page. The use of dry brush and inking styles are something that just can't be pencilled ahead of time.
