DescriptionThe fascinating thing about Matteo is how good he is at pumping out incredible compositions and perspectives live at cons. This Cable would be an incredible example of perspective and lighting regardless of where it was done, but the fact that it was created at the chaos of a convention table is mind-blowing. Not to mention he's holding conversations with many people while cranking these out... that METAL ARM, dang!

Love the perspective on this. I don't know how people can be so down on Cyclops when he has such a cool son.

That worm's view is fantastic.
(but does he really need that tiny meat cutter knife with a blaster that's 7 times its size and a firing range of 50km? ^^)

More and more I'm convinced I need to hit up Scalera for a commish! Love the tonal work here, and that upward semi twisted perspective is perfect. Yet another killer Cable, E. Congrats!

What a beautiful piece. Love how it feels so textured due to all the form, lighting, and perspective, all while maintaining a visualy smooth composition. Makes this really striking. Love it.

Love the artist, and his character design works perfectly with Cable. It's an excellent choice as I have come to expect nothing less. There is enough sci fi style here to make you appreciate this piece well into the future.

Absolutely stunning Cable commision by the very talented Matteo Scalera. Love this full figure illustration with an interesting upwards POV. This angle really emphasizes how powerful Cable looks. Extensive use of ink washes to make the drawing more realistic. It's unbelievable to me that he could do this in the middle of a convention. He must have an uncanny power of concentration to do it. Great pick-up!
