Fred provided a few pin-ups/illustrations for the 50th anniversary edition of the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, including this fun Spider-Man piece! The "smirk" is just perfect haha.

Happy to have my first published piece by Hembeck, after dabbling with Hembeck sketch cards here and there in the past. And at 7" x 11" it's huge when looking at it next to a sketch card in comparison.

In the published Overstreet Price Guide these illustrations were slimmed down to basically thumbnails size and aren't in full color, but I included that in the additional images for reference.

It's a really great Spidey piece! You would think that, given that Fred knew it would be published, that he would know it would be published in black and white and therefore not color it before publication. Maybe the Overstreet people didn't communicate well, who knows. Thwip!

As my all time favorite comic character, you would think that a Hembeck Spidey would have been my first grab. But you beat me to it. And a published one to boot. Super jealous but also super happy for you. This is AMAZING!
