DescriptionI loved this graphic novel when it was released and Richard Piers Rayner's art was a such a huge selling point for me. The movie by Sam Mendes just cemented the love for me and and exists as its own thing (that I still love). When the chance to get this page directly from Richard came across, I was genuinely thrilled. This has everything I admire about his intricate linework (amazingly, no zip in sight!) but also highlights how much of a not-nice-guy Michael O'Sullivan was in his day job. "God made Irishmen pale, but not as pale as those priests who came out after papa had unburdened his soul to them". Social/Sharing |

I've still gotta read this! Even if the art alone is any indication. Crazy line work, man. Congrats on nailing a sweet nostalgic target!

Oh yeah, baby! The book that got me back into the hobby after being away from it completely for 7 or 8 years! Glad to know another fan!

That's awesome! There's fewer of us than I originally thought!

I miss DC's way-too-short-lived Paradox Press imprint, as it gave us some really interesting books like this one. The artwork here is incredible.

Gorgeous page from a landmark book! Love Richard Pier Rayner's work on Road to Perdition. The power of his artwork is palpable. Love the strong compostion, the powerful figurework and the glorious inks! I could stare at the linework on this page for hours, it's that good. Congrats on a fabulous pick-up!
