DescriptionI picked this page up at OAX from Mark Hay of Splash Page and it's really a wonder. So much so that a friend walked by and wondered why I was buying a photograph...It's in fact acrylic gouache on water color paper. Just amazing work from a master painter. Social/Sharing |

Paolo does amazing painted work. He doesn't do very much painted interiors, so this is a great pick up. Congrats!

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I was a fool to not wander and browse more at #OAX2024, and this is a prime example of why. What an amazing pick-up! I reflect your growing hate right back at you - the EYE has you now.

Look at this photograph
Every time I do, it’s Hay from Splash
How did our rides from the dead?
And what the hell, flame on Danny's head?
And Vegas what he drew up
I think the present owner picked it up
I never knew Eranga went without
The Bristol board is gauche for painting out
And this is where I went to school
Brush all the lines Rivera things to do
Comic book records says I broke in twice
I done the comics half a dozen times
I wonder if it's too late
Should I go back and to buy another page?
Life's better now than it was Ketch then
If I was them, I wouldn't ride again

Every memory of looking at the back lore
I had the Paolo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to paint it, time to Blaze it

It's got a very cinematic feel to it, like I'm watchng a movie rather than looking at a page. Excellent addition to your Ghost Rider collection!

Love the subtle unlit "i" in the neon Riviera sign. Rivera is an absolute genius.

This piece burns very bright! The Riviera sign with the burnt out I is such a wonderful touch. Also had no clue that was Mephisto in the center panel. Really impressive painted interior.

YES! Mephisto is the 2nd easter egg on the page...well spotted, T^2! Wedding confirmed the locale was accurate too so happy days!

So so good, congrats! And pisses me off to not have looked through Paolo's Itoyas. Anyway, I heard OAX was a great show!
