DescriptionLee Weeks is my definitive DD artist as I got into the book at the tail end of Ann Nocenti’s run and into the Fall of the Kingpin (Last Rites) storyline with D.G. Chichester. I’ve whiffed on a few panel pages before but I guess the fates lined me up to get this beautiful title splash instead. Al Williamson’s gorgeous inks are the icing on this particular cake. Check, check and CHECK!!Social/Sharing |

I love this! And not in a weird I Love Mikail way… but it is truly one of the best examples of DD I’ve seen .. no matter the artist! Congrats!

Looks like a one-and-done Weeks piece. About as inconic a shot of DD swinging over the city as I've ever seen - by any artist. Wow!

WOW! How'd you land THIS beauty? This is as fantastic as any of the Romita Jr. splashes. Congratulations, man, this is incredible!

I don't know if I have the power to do this, but you're getting too many cool pieces. You're on a TIME OUT! As a moderator, I think I have that power. I may need to double check.

Ooh, oh, oh
It's just a little ink line, I'll be fine
Not like I wanna buy Weeks every night
It’s Lee good, don't I deserve it?
I think I’m addict, feels like Al's worth it
In my mind, mind
Fan of the Nietzche, abyss philosophy
I told you from Hemingway, but I was lying
I was dancing with Daredevil
Man of Shadow
The most great Williamson
Ink is better than it shows
Playing with the Nocenti
Gambling with heroes
It's all art to Corso
When you're dancing with Daredevil
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
Yeah, yeah

A prime Weeks Daredevil. About as one and done as you can get.

I knew this one would not last long ;)
It's indeed the perfect DD by Weeks even though for me at the time, he just felt like a competent artist I'll confess, not an exciting one.
He would become so much better but he was already very good as we all can see here.

Weeks is good, yes, but Romita Jr's run with Nocenti was incredible. Regardless, Williamson elevates everyone's game.

Classic image of Daredevil swinging through Hell's Kitchen! Gorgeous work by the great Lee Weeks! I love Week's depiction of Daredevil here, he really nailed the anatomy perfectly! And check out that incredibly detailed background! Weeks spent a lot of time getting the cityscape right. I'm impressed by how much effort he put into getting the perscpective right and then detailing every single building so thoroughly! Stunnning splash--Weeks doesn't get nearly as much credit as he deserves!
