Like Abraham Lincoln, I cannot tell a lie - I am a little bit obsessed. Simone Di Meo is doing some next-level work.

Astute collector Carl Choi picked up an entire issue of Simone's work and he was kind enough to bring it to #OAX2024 for me to gawk at in person. Simply stunning. Di Meo is expanding the boundaries of traditional art.

As OAX is an excellent con, Simone was in attendance with his partner in crime, Simone Bianchi, and their excellent rep, Matt DiTullio. It was a pleasure to meet all of them. Di Meo was doing con sketches and I had to take the plunge. I was able to pick this beauty up the next day, and peep the process as the artist used a variety of pens, brushes, and sponges to create these silky smooth tones.

He truly is evil. Keeps stealing all my flashlights. Ow. Who put the coffee table there? My poor toe. This settles it, I'm joining the rebellion. Anyone got Jeff's number?

Millions of Italians draw art every day
With a sketchbook to be first
They might have Collective Matt to pay for their lunch
Draw on bristol to get home on the bus
Simone suddenly decides to make you purchase art drop
They whip it out and line art the exact amount
With sponge inks neat, then they sign it
Mikail walks out with the Sith

BEAUTIFUL pickup ML! Simone is indeed doing incredible work! So incredible that I actually bought 2 DC covers from him!! I love the way he rendered Darth Vader, just gorgeous!!!!!

Aother great piece I got to peek across the table while in progress at OAX. There was great finished art galore, but equally as much in progress art throughout the hall. Amazing.

Simone is an artist rising in the ranks because of his unique visual flair and immense skills with his tools. Love to see it, I've not seen him fall short on any request .
