Description

Prelim for one of the Alastor books by Jack Vance for DAW. Thanks for the artist, David Mattingly, for helping me identify it. Pardero howling at the moon at the work camp he joined to earn the money to go to the Connatic's hospital.

Image was used as a model for the frontispiece.
