DescriptionThis is a sketch on one of the Image Comics 25th Anniversary Blind Box Sketchcover Blanks for Plastic #1 by series artist Daniel Hillyard. Rare sketchcover to find and even rarer artwork from Hillyard as he normally draws digitally. Plastic is about retired serial killer EDWYN STOFFGRUPPEN who is in love with VIRGINIA, a girl he “met online.” Her affection quiets his vile urges. Together, they tour the back roads of America in their LTD, eating doughnuts and enjoying their healthy appetites for each other. Life is good…until a Louisiana billionaire kidnaps Virginia, forcing Edwyn to kill again in exchange for her freedom. Oh and Virginia is a sex doll btw… Hillyard drew my decapitated head on the cover. Death by VHS! Daniel Hillyard and writer Doug Wagner have come up with some great sick & twisted stories with a twist of dark humor in both PLASTIC and their other hit comic VINYL, both released through Image Comics.Social/Sharing |

Nice variation of his issue 4 cover. It has just as much impact when you first see it.
