DescriptionGreat things always happen when they are meant for you. Before I tell you the story of this page, I would like to send the biggest thanks to fellow collector Alex Gonzales for giving me the opportunity to acquire this page from him and continue my goal of trying to complete the Ed McGuinness Volume 2 Superman issues.I first saw this page about 6 or 7 years ago, and to me, it is the best representation of Ed McGuinness's FLYING AWAY Superman. This splash page is of more than cover quality. I searched for it everywhere with no luck. I even reached out to Ed McGuinness to try to acquire it, but he informed me that he had already sold it. Then, about 3 years ago, while browsing here, I discovered that the owner was Alex Gonzales. I reached out to him, but he wasn't interested in selling it at the time. Until last week, when he approached me, and here we are. Never lose hope; sometimes collectors change their tastes and want other pieces. If anyone reading this would like to sell their Ed McGuinness Volume 2 pages, please feel free to contact me. You never know; maybe we can work out a deal like I did with Alex. Social/Sharing |

Ed is hands down my favourite Superman artist and you can't ask for a better example of why than this. Just an incredibly dynamic splash page as only Ed McGuinness can do. Congrats!

When McGuinness does this classic line, he makes sure there's enough power packed behind those words!

May be THE McGuinness Supes image. The character that brought McGuinness into the limelight for many of us. Looking at this, ZERO questions why. Big congrats! Patience and persistence :) Name of the game with this stuff!
