Description

In New Mutants 82, Hela continues her campaign of overthrowing Asgard. She captures four of the New Mutants and sends them to the underworld, where Garm is guarding the gates of Hel.

I absolutely loved the last commission I got from Craig, so when the opportunity arose, I wanted to get another that fit in with my commission history.

Really great piece and fun theme. I've always felt that P. Craig Russell is to comic art what what the Classical genre is to music.

Breaking out of a gilded cage by melting it away like wax, Hela's powers and connection to her Hel hound will not be denied. The areas of white lines drawn in reverse negative are so fine and flawless! You don't expect any less of an achievement from Russell.

Awesome! At first I was thinking this was the Fenris Wolf, her fellow sibling of Loki. Really dig the tilted perspective choice, and the pure illustration is tops. Congrats!
