From one of the great issues of Planetary by Warren Ellis and John Cassaday. A Green Lantern like character is bestowed with a lantern and told to "be the light in blackest night" before he is sent out to the stars.

Amazing page design by Cassaday! This is what his GL run would have looked like. Big in scope to bring the audience awe at the sight of his powers.
