Father and son, on opposite sides of an argument both with their own strong viewpoints. Hmm, sounds familiar...and for probably most people too.

This is the third page out of 4 as part of the sequence in this issue that delves deeper into Levi Kamei's origin/background, the new avatar of The Green.

I posted the first page the other day here.

I'm not sure who owns page 9 (part 2 of this 4 part sequence), and page 11 believe it or not is still available on Ruben's website here for only $250. At that price someone should scoop it up before I have money to spend on art again and I do ;-p

He got a wife and kids in India, Dad
I paid out for art line and the horror came back
Like a river that Mike knows wash is flowing
I took a page turn and I just kept going

Even Ram V's wrote the daddy parts
Even Kavi's moved to Jersey now
Laid down your loonies sent from Canada
Every daddy wants some swa-swa-wamp thing art

Yeah, for me it was with my mother, since my dad passed away long before I was old enough to have any sort of man to man conversations with him, but I'm sure most people can relate to this on some level. Mike's atmospheric illustrative style was just perfect for these moments. The forest in the background of all the panels is just so captivating and adds to the sense of realism, making these characters three dimensional. Awesome!
