DescriptionYou can almost smell that coffee. That guy on the barstool at the counter definitely can.I remember seeing this cover when Stillwater was initially released and it really stood out to me. I have also wanted some original art from Brian Level for quite some time. He is now repped by Inky Knuckles, so when I saw this cover available during this year's Comic Art Live weekend, I knew she was the one. This cover has some Twin Peaks vibes to it as does the series itself, which I love. Chip Zdarsky has done an outstanding job writing this series. Tight pencils and great detail from Brian Level on this variant cover, not to mention that Jay Leisten has officially killed it on the inks. Overall, a lovely horror themed diner setting. Really cool to see it on both boards. Social/Sharing |

Not familiar with the series, unfortunately, but the art is provocative and very well done!

Guy should eat something. He's nothing but skin and bones.

Are you sure it's the coffee he's smelling? And that zombie hardly even touched his food. I bet he stiffs the waitress. This cover has a real EC feel to me. I'm going to check it out. Very cool cover. Congrats!

Great feel on this, a bit of that older horror sensibility. Who doesn't like a good skeleton?

Clearly a throwback cover, since they're still, smoking indoors! Love centered images like this, and the ink job is superb.
